Time and Change

“The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time.”

-Bertrand Russell

Sometimes I feel as though I waste my time whether it be through desk work, hobbies, or social media. Should I be doing more with my life? Should I be traveling and seeing the world more? Should I not be satisfied with relaxing on the couch when I feel like it?

To me, no. There is no one size fits all for how one should spend their time. The only thing that should matter in regards to your time is that you are happy. If that happiness means playing video games, pursuing music, having a 9 to 5 desk job, or traveling for a living then more power to you. Just enjoy your time on this earth.

If your life is not meeting your expectations you have the power to change.

“Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.”

-Barack Obama

Don’t be afraid of change. Pursue what makes you happy and take that leap of faith. The perfect time to change professions may never come, just jump and spend your time doing what you love. If you want to pick up a hobby like photography don’t be turned off by what others may think, relax and enjoy yourself.

Now I know I’m not much of a writer or motivational speaker, but this photography blog is my personal change that I’m enacting to further my happiness. Some may see it as a waste of time; I see it as my happy place.
